To disseminate experiences on the management, use and conservation of pollinators and their habitats, through the enhancement of productive projects and research in the beekeeping sector, from a technical-scientific perspective in Colombia and in several countries of the region, complemented with successful legal tools to promote their defense, proper management and their articulation to sustainable development policies.

Alfredo Collazos Ortiz - Colombia
Zootechnician, Beekeeper, and Meliponiculturist. He completed a Master's degree at the Center for Tropical Apiculture Research (CINAT) in Costa Rica. He has worked as an apicultural consultant with government agencies and private universities, is a member of the "Living Bees Pollinating the Future" Collective, and advocates for the proposed law to protect pollinators in Colombia. He has been invited as a speaker nationally and internationally on Apis mellifera bees in urban environments. He is the founder of RAUC (Urban Apis mellifera Bee Rescuers of Colombia). He is an active volunteer firefighter in the municipality of Campoalegre and assists in bee rescues in the urban area through the Risk Management Office of the municipality of Neiva. He is also the owner of the beekeeping company APILIPONA.

Misael Cuevas Bravo - Chile
Vice President of the National Beekeeping Network Federation of Chile. Past President of the Americas Commission within the Council of the World Beekeeping Organization (APIMONDIA), past President of the Latin American International Beekeeping Federation (FILAPI), Vice President of the Chilean Beekeeping Federation, consultant on organizational development and beekeeping projects. The son of a farming couple from the Nahuelbuta mountain range in the Arauco Province of south-central Chile, he is a beekeeper and trade association leader with extensive experience in microenterprise associations and trade association management at the local, national, and international levels. A lover of reading and dialogue, he regularly combines his productive and trade association activities with training sessions and debates on rural development and interaction among stakeholders at the territorial and regional levels.

Andrea del Pilar Fajardo Henao - Colombia
Forestry Engineer, Specialist in Rural Development. Master's in Agri-food. PhD Candidate in Agroecology at the National University of Colombia. Owner of Apícola San Ambrosio EU, responsible for training and technical assistance in beekeeping and melipona development projects. Scientific Advisor for Cedrela International Corporation.

Hugo Sergio Cruz Frías - Mexico
Master's degree in Educational Creation from the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ). Graphic Designer and Audiovisual Technician from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (UAG). Professor of Communication and Journalism at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Mexico. He works on community reforestation projects, educational games for the preservation of flora and fauna, and the creation of an edible urban forest in El Pueblito, Querétaro, to promote respect for bees and insects in urban areas and the non-use of insecticides or agrochemicals.

Wilfredo Calle Corani - Bolivia
A mechanic by trade and a novice beekeeper, he will tell us why he became interested in this profession and give us an overview of beekeeping in Bolivia.
